My doctor said at 37 weeks it was safe to start trying some of the suggestions she gave. I was also though in preterm labor from week 34-37 and she told me not to do anything until week 37, since she still considers full term week 37. Discuss the idea with your doctor. Natural things like walking and sex are good for you and baby anyways and will help dilate and efface you. I should also mention that when she said this I was already dilated and effaced. Anything you do should be brought up with your doctor.
And I understand about being miserable. I'm a tiny girl 5 2, 120 prepregnancy and I've already gained 35+ pounds. I'm swollen to the point I dont think I can stretch anymore, moving is hard for me, plus I've been having crazy contractions (strong just not xonsistant enough) for 4 weeks now. Hang in there because its worth it for your baby.
I have a week left. I have made it this far and so can you!! And yes 37 weeks is technically full term in the US. Always has been.
Yeah I dont blame you I would be the same way but defo gonna to the doctor hopefully get sorted :) hows your pregnancy going hope all is well ♡
Do you never know :)
I told my consultant I won't agree to section before Christmas without medical reasons because I'm not leaving him in the nicu or scbu over Christmas if he's not big enough or unwell.
Hope you get some relief :( best of luck♡
Thank you ash060115 il take your advice your right thank you (: and yeah I feel your pain jassy but im sure we can hold out a little longer it was just me being impatient! But thellonger she stays in there the better really I dont want a sick baby
I have 19 days left and I want to kill everything walking. I founs out I was preg at 6 weeks. That was a lonnng time ago.
If you feel that bad go see your doctor.
I'm in Ireland and yes they say 37 is ok to be born- but thats if baby comes themselves or medical reason.
I'd a baby at 33weeks and I'll be having a section with this bump and they said they can section from 37weeks but I don't want to section until as late as possible.
I've seen nicu its not nice and like ladybeely said about they keep baby in hospital until its 5LB that still counts for us too..
so if you have baby now and they are less than 5lb or and issues you won't get them home.
Just don't do any self induction.
Get walking sex natural stuff etc yes not anything else.
And if your in pain tell your doc they can measure baby and induce you if babys big enough and developed enough - or give you good pain relief etc if not ready to be born
Thanks girls for your advice I think il just waitt its safer that way I can do another 3 weeks I guess lol and I would feel awfull if something happen
Where I am 37 weeks is full term and if you go into labor they wont stop it. They wont induce You until 39 weeks tho.
Yeah thats why I said u.s. and american association of pediatrics
I know I shouldnt try and rush things but im really struggling lately my back is in bits due to the weigh of the water and baby and I think its different in places because here in the uk at 37 weeks your considered full term and where you are its 39
Ik how u feel I'm 37weeks and miserable lol...but we have 3more weeks left you can pull thru hun. Wait until the baby is ready. God forbid if sum happens BC he/she was born to early.
I think youre considered full term at 37 weeks.. personally I wanna make it to 40 weeks but id recomend all the "natural" stuff like walking and sex but I wouldn't take anything for it like castor oil and stuff
Thats all just part of being pregnant. If you want to do your own research check out thw american association of pediatrics. It will give you the facts.
Don't do it. You've 3weeks left.
Full term in the US is now 39wks. You will be having a premature baby if you force it. If your bavy is under 5lbs you leave the hospital and they stay. Baby isnt ready but with that being said I was 3cm and 80% thinned with contractions every 4-5min at 35wks and I carried til induced at 41. So no matter what you try it wont work til baby is ready anyway.
Yea you are technically full term
