Honestly I was drinking and partying a lot when I found out I was pregnant I was 8 wks...and I'm just praying for a healthy baby. I read that the red wine helps with the baby and so I wanted some opinions but I doubt I'll drink much of.anything. Please pray for us :-)

Is there a difference between white & red wine for this rule of occasional sips? My hubby bought me some white wine to have a mini glass but I was felt guilty. Was wondering...

I had a sip of wine & New year's eve & felt nauseated afterwards. So definitely don't really care for the wine while pregnant thing. If it makes u sick u will let it go too lol

This woman I know was pregnant at 36 and drank wine every single day while pregnant. Not even exaggerating, every single day. And occasionally beer too. So not only was she high risk for being older, she drank religiously. Her son is perfectly healthy and very smart. My doctor told me one to two glasses a month AFTER your first trimester will absolutely not affect you. People are so judgemental without even really looking at the research and facts. Yet these women drink coffee and energy drinks every day. That's way worse! Obviously beer and liquor is a huge no no. But occasional wine is fine! Don't worry about it.

I also did read up on this and everything I found said yes in moderation a glass of red  wine is 5oz in the beginning I would have a glass or a german beer but later in my pregnancy i didn't care to have a drink. My honest opinion is I dont believe oen or two glasses will  do harm.

Well I decided to check it out for myself and most of the sites said yes it is okay as long as its done in moderation. And most of those studies were done years ago on people that drank a lot (which I dont) and then decided to have children. It actually says a little wine or a few sips of beer here and there will help your baby be more coordinated and can also help with social skills. But to each its own...only God can judge us. Thanks so much for your opinion though.

The answer is no. There has been tons of studies showing it does so harm and why you should not drink while pregnant. There have been no scientific studies showing it does not do harm.

Everyone has different opinions on this subject. I would ask your doctor or even see another doctor for a second opinion. Some say it is the worst thing you can do, others say an occasional glass is no big deal. I couldn't imagine one glass could be that bad being that I have friends who were born with speed in their system.. I think its based on moderation and how you feel. I just wouldn't do it in public.. people are very judgemental about this subject.
