job interview

Been home since oct had to take a medical leave from school after an ovarian surgery. Applied to a few places since i was over my job at the time and let it go.. three months later today pier 1 calls and i said yes im still interested! Need money my bfs the only one working.

In my head im like omg will they hire me?  Do i tell them right away if hired on the spot? Dont know what to do. Dont want to show up my first day and they think i tricked them. Im due im may. Back when i applied i wasnt showing now he grows everyday <3

I'm 16 wks. I applied before I knew I was pregnant and it was and anonymous add. Then way later I get a call and it was for a realty company! I was very interested but I was like I'm pregnant... They will freak out. Like you, I didn't want them to feel that I tricked them. So I told him. And we talked for 1/2 hour! The next day we talked again. He informed me that he was freaked out that I was pregnant. (He doesn't do ins, so I'd go on my husbands) and then the following day I called (work shut down do to blizzard) so I stopped in. We talked for 1 1/2 hours (Thursday) I called again monday morning and he said I could come in again! (I was there for 1 hr) he offered me the job! :) if you find great employers, you are set! One thing I do, is constantly check in! Show them I want it and I will bug the hell out of them til I get it! :) good luck!

I wouldnt say anything.  Just go in and try not to show it too much.  My husband got a job when I was almost due with our second.  If he had told them he would be taking pat leave a month in they prolly would have passed on him.  But in the end it all worked out.  I know it is different as we take/get more leave and we are the ones pregnant but I really would hide it.  But dont lie.  If they ask tell them but dont offer up the information yourself.  My dad is very high up at a very big company and thats what he has always told me and my husband, never lie but also never offer up personal information like that.  Good luck in the interview

Yeah if they say they cant because you are pregos they can get in trouble. And call human resources

Technically if she didn't say she didn't want to interview you because of your being pregnant she won't get in trouble even though you know thats the reason, most places won't interview a pregnant woman who is showing they will usually say something like oh we are looking at other candidates at this time or oh the position has been filled. But unless they come right out and say it's because your pregnant there really isn't anything you can do :/

^^I would ask for their corporate number and see what reply they have. Argue till you get it.

Same thing happened to me. I went on an interview in December. And got the job but I got sick and couldn't take it. Now I'm healthy, i went back and filled out another app yesterday. Went to the interview today and the lady looked at me and said oh i can't interview you today I'm Too busy. Ill call you.

Well if you couldn't interview me why did you call me to come in today? Ugh i was so pissed.

I had an interview when I was only 23weeks along semi showing. I wore a lose flow blouse,  I didnt get the job but im sure its because my lack of exprience and resume. Not because I was pregnant.
