You shouldn't really be too close to the cat at all, & certainly not sleeping with it. Google "Toxoplasmosis" and "toxoplasmosis pregnancy"

Well I took him to the vet and they said I should be fine. He's been on wormer for two weeks, hes only ten weeks old but the worms he has can only be killed by a shot. And he is strictly a inside cat but vet said he got them from fleas which means there coming from my mother in laws dog because she goes outside. Needless to say I am one ill mommy! Lol

Lol I bet! I became very paranoid when I thought my Kitties had it! It also helps not to let them outside! (: all 3 of my cats are strictly inside. But just take care of him and you should be fine. (: good luck doll!

If you do notice you contract the worms, do your research before you take any de-worming medication while pregnant. My kids got some parasitic worm at school and my doctor said I could take the medication as a precaution, but luckly I researched it and even tho its category C, it is still very very dangerous in pregnancy and there are warnings not to get pregnant for months after taking it. Albenza and mebenazole are the meds (used to round worm, pin worm and hook worm) thought id share my story so you would be prepared if you get it....hopefully you don't! Get that kitty some worm meds, but if I were you id probably have someone else handle the meds to be safe.

I know what you mean my hubby cleans litter box but my kitty was throwing up and I kept checking their poo for worms but I'd put something over my face when I did. Just take the kitty to the vet if you can't afford it try looking at a pet store for some worm meds just whatever you do, DO NOT buy a hartz product they have become verrrrrry dangerous for animals you can check out hartzvictims.com about that. But just get him some worm meds. You'll be fine n so will baby (:

I havent been cleaning the box, my husband does but I looked in there to see if he was better because he had diarrhea for two days and I seen a worm crawling. But I just took him to get a shot I was just worried about the worm in general because the kitten sleeps with us and didnt know if I could get them and it harm my baby.

Its not the cat poo that is harmful to preg women, cat poo carries a certain bacteria that is  very harmful for mom and baby. You shouldnt be cleaning the cat liter. Call your doc and tell him and get ur cat meds.

The round worms won't hurt ur baby don't worry about that.  But u do need 2 take the kitty 2 the vet 2 get rid of those!  And as 4 the litter..u need someone else 2 change it.  There's stuff in the litter that gets in the air when u clean it or when ur cat uses it that u breathe in which is very harmful 2 unborn baby!
