just saying

I know you want ur babies here i want mine here i tried natural safe things like tea walking and i asked my obgyn first but castor oil your risking your baby pooping inside you then that gets in their lungd and your stressing them out u really rather self induce then get it done by a doc somebody who knows what their doing and they'll make sure ur baby n u r okay i just think its selfish you'll put your baby in danger just because you want them here or ur tired of being pregnant talk to any women who's on her last month or who's been pregnant we all went threw it got tired of being pregnant wanted it over already wanted them here but had to wait like everyone else unless there's a medical reason just wait we all had too i'm not being nasty either but ur babys health and well being would be more important to me then rushing them here idk i'm done lol

Water doesn't stop labor. They tell you not to drink or eat anything while your in labor and delivery in case you have to have to have a csection. Sometimes people actually have to be put under for c sections and they don't want you to throw up while your intubated. Ladies do not dehydrate your selves it's dangerous. You will have iv fliuds while in labor so you don't get dehydrated.

Drinking an excessive amount of water does Not bring on Labor. It actually delays and stops the entire process. That's why they tell you not to drink anything at all when you're being observed or admitted in Labor and delivery.

I have had a few thoughts about castor oil but im too scared to really try it i would probably poop nd puke all over myself, I have just been drinking raspberry leaf tea and taking primrose oil in hopes that when baby girl comes my labor is easier.

While I don't know much about castor oil other than a friend of mine trying it and knowing I myself don't want to try it I do know that being medically induced van cause just as much stress on the baby. That's what happened to me at least. She had her first bowl on me and luckily didn't get any in her lungs but she was under so much stress from the medicine they gave me.

I was due march 2nd and my daughter was born on the 10th. My Dr was worried because my due date was their second date, and a later one at that, and she still hadn't come. I never heard of castor oil before until my fiances aunt suggested it. I thought it was okay (this was march 8th). I didn't realize it was a laxative! It only worked as just that. My daughter did have meconium inside and that was my fault but she did not get it into her lungs. I was never trying to be selfish or cause her harm, I walked everywhere I could and was drinking about 48-64 ounces of water a day to no avail.  I do not recommend castor oil or any other type of self inducing activities! I do recommend walking and lots of water because it will help ease your labor. Unless you were directed/ advised to keep off your feet by your OBGYN/Dr.

My midwife with my first born suggested castor oil, and my doctor with this pregnancy has also suggested castor oil because of the stress pitocin can put on baby when you are induced in the hospital. So it's not just an internet thing if 2 medical professionals are/have advised me to do so... Castor oil is just a laxative. It doesn't go to the baby it just helps to promote contractions on the uterus. Pitocin is a much stronger way of forcing the body to start contractions so it is just as stressful if not MORE stressful on baby. You all are saying listen to your doctors not the internet, and my doctor has said its fine. I highly doubt she would recommend if she felt the risks were as bad as you are all making them out to be.

I totally agree!! This is my 6th baby and had some pretty rough times being pregnant but we all know what were getting ourselves into before it even happens so I never did and never would do anything that I know could even be potentially dangerous for my little blessings!! So sad how selfish some girls can be!!!!!

Even tho I want her here NOW . I haven't done one thing to self induce ... I rather wait till she's ready ! And my doc would wait till almost 42 weeks to induce if baby and mommy are healthy he says natural is the way to go !

I agree. My first baby was born one day before his due date. I never rushed anything. I enjoyed feeling my baby growing and moving around in my belly. Now with this pregnancy I'm loving every moment again. Some people amaze me.. I've heard of people trying to self induce and early!! They don't realize that babies come out looking different and having higher health risks when they are premature. It's So Important To Carry As Long As Possible.

Amen to this! My whole pregnancy was rough, but I never would of tried something that would of hurt her to get her out. I was induced at 39 weeks 1 day, but only because my dr told me she doubted I'd last until my due date. And I was considered full term. And sure enough, I was only in labor for 6 hours, so she was ready too. I was a little selfish, I'll admit, but only because my dr told me I could be. Castor oil is not the way to go, its way too risky.

Amen!! These women that rather try to induce on their own doing non natural ways to me are selfish we all know how long pregnancy before we get pregnant they set it 40 weeks for a reason n even if u are pass 40 weeks your doctor will induce u when they think its time ur..I'm in my 8th month in terrible pain from back pain hip pain to feet pain still working 43 hrs a week n I say all the time I'm over being pregnant but I will not take anything to induce labor wen I get closer to full term I will walk more but that's a natural way but hey ig the safety of ur baby doesn't matter any more ppl drink smoke n everything now while pregnant sad wat ppl a put there baby thru before they even get into the world #justmyopinion
