Working til I wasnt able to helped A LOT during labor. I was able to tolerate the contractions more and recovered after labor easier. With my second I was up and pushing him around in his littke crib the same night - walking around the maternity ward and all.

Oh, and my manager forced me to go on leave because I had preeclampsia or I would have stayed until I went into labor lol

I worked at quiznos until a week before I had my son with a pinched sciatic nerve and did waitressing 3-4 times a week. It was rough, but I feel it helped me heal faster. I only took 6 weeks off because they didn't pay for maturity leave.

With my first I waas working 3 jobs. I quit 1 when I was 6 months but continued to work the other 2 all of the way thru til I had her. I'm currently 33+3 with my second and only working 1 job this time. I've had to cut back on how much I work because of complications. It's more about how you (and your doc) feel. :) I say, work as long as possible.

When I worked fast food I didnt go on maternity leave til I couldnt work anymore. Which usually happened due to almost going into labor a couple days before or a week before due.
