freaking out

So I'm 21 and 6 weeks, I'm a server and hostess at a chain restaurant so I don't make that much and my bf is a grad from college and he just got his first big boy job. But he doesn't start for awhile. I'm suppose to go to the doc Monday for my first visit with the ob but my insurance doesn't cover pregnace. So its going to cost $400. Is it bad if I wait a week to go to the doc? Any suggestions?

I'm honestly so glad I am Canadian at this point...everything is free for me. But I waited until 13 weeks for my first OB appointment (that's what was reccomended to me by my doctor)

I didn't get my first appointment till I was 13 weeks and I work at a medical office 13 hours a day for 3 days. It was stressful but the baby is fine and healthy. I think just start taking your prenatal vitamins otc.

It's okay to wait a week most doctors won't schedule a sonogram until about 7/8 weeks anyway so your fine !!!

I didn't go to my first appointment till 11 weeks, I found out at 5 weeks but they said I was fine to wait till 11 bc most times you can't see anything anyway, so you'll be fine to wait :)

Awh, you poor thing. I think you'll be fine to wait the week. I feel terrible when I see how expensive it is for some of the women on here, I'm Australian, so I go public, so far my pregnancy has cost me $30 for my first ultrasound (All ultrasounds free after that) and my prenatals..
