ketones in urine

Just got out of my apt Dr said he found ketones in my urine. I asked if I should be concerned and he said to drink lots of water. Apparently this is the second week I had ketones in my urine. All he told me was to drink more water. How much more water can I drink, I already drink over 3 liters a day I practically pee water. I googled ketones, but its freaking me out. Has anybody had this before.

I had them in my urine before n I notice now when I drink a bottle of water right before my appt my urine comes back negative

Im 37+6 today so baby has taken over my belly. I eat, but get full really quick. Yeah no more google for me I tried researching and all I got was scary stuff that can happened to the baby after birth. My concern is can it effect the baby now? Also how can I get rid of it.

My doctor says it's b/c I'm not eating enough.  However, I usually have my appointments in the A.M so my food hasn't gone all the way thru my system.  Sometimes I have them, sometimes I don't.

I had it at the beginning of my pregnancy and they told me not to drink caffine or sugary drinks like soda tea ect. I drank only water and by my next appt they were gone, I read some where on here to try not to Google or search things on the internet cause it can be misleading and cause unneeded stress.
