kidney infection?

So I have been in agony all weekend in my lower right back and lower right abdomen. It has gotten progressively worse and now I actually can't even move it hurts that bad. :(
I have a Drs appt in half an hour to check what it is. I really don't want it to be a kidney infection. But whatever it is I am in complete agony. I feel sick and the pain is so bad.
Is this really bad for my baby girl? I'm 22w today.
Also if it isn't a kidney infection I hope there isn't anything wrong with my baby

I'm not sure. I have given my Dr 2 urine samples. One they tested in surgery which is how I found out it was definitely a kidney infection. And the second they sent off to the lab for further analysis, so I'm not sure what else they are looking for or when I will get the results. The pain I'm in is nowhere near as bad as the pain I experienced at the beginning of my pregnancy when I had early scans to check for mc or molar pregnancy. Thankfully it was neither and baby girl is doing just fine. As far as I can tell the infection so far isn't affecting her as she has been super active all day. I just wish this pain would pass. If I end up back at the Drs surgery I will be sure to mention kidney stones and see what he says

I have kidney stones so I know the pain all to well. With you being in so much pain is it possible you have kidney stones that are trying to pass? The pain with that is comparable to contractions it hurts so bad. I hope you get better

Well if I am still in this pain tomorrow I am going back to my Dr to see what else they can do. If the Dr suggest hospital again I will ask them to have me admitted as the nurse in a&e wouldn't do anything. I've been awake for an hour and can't sleep in my bed so I am now on the sofa, where I probably won't get much sleep either. :(

Um yes they can I got admitted and morphine for the pain and the iv antibiotics to get it to go away quicker than just pills. I would be pitching a fit until they did something more for you! Do not let them brush you off sweetie!! Hope you feel better soon

I went to the hospital and they pretty much said they couldn't do any more than my go had. :( I'm in total agony and can't really sleep. It's 2am now and this pain is completely unbearable. :( wish it would just go away

My kidney infection with my first put me into labor at 25 weeks. I was admitted for almost a week of iv antibiotics. I was released on modified bedrest and had to take macrobid until I delivered which was at 35 weeks. If you do not feel any better GO to the hospital asap.

Oh no. Hope that you manage to get better when baby comes. I'm in complete agony right now so I know how you must be feeling. The painkillers I've been given are doing nothing to help. I'm thankful that I have been signed off work, it just means I am missing out on money that is much needed for my baby.
If I continue feeling like this overnight I will be at the hospital tomorrow.

Hopefully the antibiotics get it all cleared up. Around that far along my kidney started swelling because of baby blocking it from draining and that stuff is the worst pain ever. I'm 35 weeks now and been dealing with it since Feb. It comes and goes as baby moves but I've spent about 3.5 weeks in the hospital cause of pain. :/

It is a kidney infection. I've been given antibiotics and sent hone. I've been signed off from work for the next 48 hours and been told I may need to be hospitalised if the pain doesn't calm down in the next few hours
