labor inducer

Has squats every put any of you ladies in labor? My due date is in 4 days, when I went to my doctors appointment on Tuesday I was only 1 1/2 cm and my cervix was soft, but she didn't say anything about it being thin... so iv been thinking of things to help my baby push her way down. Sooooo? Has this worked for anyone? ?

Nothing you do will work until your body is ready. Some people swear by squats but it really doesn't do any thing. A sweating position can help bring baby down after labor has started, but not before. It also isn't the action of doing repeated squats but holding the position. That's why many people sit on a yoga or birthing ball. People thing bouncing on it helps, but again, it's not the action but the position.
Honestly, you need your body to produce oxytocin to get labor going. The best way to do that is relaxing. Trying everything in the book will only frustrate you. Relaxing, feeling loved and having fun produce oxytocin.

So it's pretty much just squatting and holding the position that helps?

You can try. Just don't get frustrated or wear your self out. The best way to progress your labor is to encourage your body to produce oxytocin. You do that by relaxing, having sex, feeling loved and having fun.
