ladiesss! please answer ASAP!

so i was on the depo provera shot for about a year and a half. my last shot expired 8-9 months ago. im now trying to get pregnant.i had my 1st actual  period, which started on jan 25th, and ended around jan 30th. i had sex when i had cervical mucous (which was on february 10th) that was day 17 of my cycle. so I'm not sure how many days my cycle actually is now, because of the depo. if it was 28 days, then i should have started my period yesterday. that didn't happen though. but either way, i should be getting my period very soon, which would mean that my cervix should be low & hard. well, my cervix is extremely high and soft, i can't tell if it's closed or open though. i took one pregnancy test the day before yesterday, & it was negative.... could i be pregnant? & if i am pregnant, will my obgyn be able to tell tomorrow, if the pregnancy test she gives me is negative, could she tell if im  pregnant by looking at my cervix (because they don't do blood tests there) or would it be too early? because i heard that your cervix turns blue when you are pregnant? what are my chances of being pregnant?

Hi!
It is not really possible to tell whether you are pregnant by looking at your cervix.  The uterus and cervix do get softer, larger, and darker due to increased blood flow during pregnancy, but the test is the way to go.  If you are late for your period, your test should be positive by now. The urine tests are very accurate these days.

It can take up to 18 months for the side effects of the depo to wear off, so don't be alarmed if things don't happen immediately.  It is good news that you have started your periods again though--that suggests ovulation is occurring which is a definite necesity.

Good luck!
