lower back pain

I'm only 8 weeks And 2 days and I'm experiencing the worst lower back pain. My job does consist of me standing for 8 hrs a day and I just got off but this pain is really hurting. Is this normal? And what can I do to help it?

Well if it is in fact your sciatic nerve, it'll get worse the longer you're standing. You can google exercises that will help a lot. I use to do them before and after work and got relief within a few days. Good luck!

I work at a grocery store as a cashier its hard to sneak off to rest I work 4 hrs then I get an hr lunch then I go back to 4 more hours. I dont want to ask for special treatment especially since I'm not that far along they all will have something to say but there's no way I can keep it up If its going to hurt this bad every time I work

It could be your sciatic nerve pinched. When I had to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time, it was TORTURE. I would literally be leaning on my counter in excruciating pain waiting for it to pass. A heating pad should help. Is there any way you can sit down every few hours?
