in tn the limit for actual tennecare(medicaid) is 1200/mo that's it. which in this economy today is nothing. but i did find out tenncare covers the medication thank god lol

i am in Ga and I was on it when I was pregnant with my son....they covered EVERYTHING including tons of dental work and even minor surgery on my toe.   I have health insurance now but am going to go get it as a back up since I qualify that way if there is anything wrong with baby at birth she will be covered already.   Good luck

well, then I would assume thats better than nothing!  but i thought i had heard on the news, that they were raising the limits because of how bad the economy is and barely anyone can afford anything.

But well I hope it's covered!!!   And good luck in your  pregnancy!!!

thanks, my doc told me tenncare would cover it but when the pharmacist told me she didn't know if it would or not i was just wondering thanks you guys.

ASHIEPOOH: in tn we have diff kinds of medicaid and they said i make too much for the full blown medicaid, and the only reason i qualify for the other is bc in tn no matter what if your pregnant you qualify for help from the state. so it only covers cost for my pregnancy and things associated with my pregnancy/and 2 months post pardum/and baby when born. weird i know. lol

they are pretty good with paying for things like that.  I would call and ask just so you can stop wondering.  If not, you can pay the doc very little each month to keep yourself out of collections.

huh weird.  Well, I don't know much about it.  I just remember my friend telling me she is on it and was, with both her kids and they paid for everything.

My sons allergy med for peanuts costs the same though, so i understand.  I am allergic to bee's and have something similar to my sons meds, but it costs $450 a month!  So it is insane.  I would definately maybe ask if there is a generic or something that would be covered.

Every state could be different......If you do need to pay out of pocket for this  is if they make a generic!

Weird, I heard from a friend, that they pay everything while your pregnant.  She was on it, and still is.  They paid for non pregnancy doctor visits too!  Maybe call them and talk to them about it.
