Thanks, yeah SPRITE was what did it to me last night!!
I'm just about 18 weeks pregnant and I remember it being one of the first signs of pregnancy. It only lasted about 2-3 weeks with me, but I still get it from time to time. Try cutting back on soda...even Sprite causes it for me. I have been drinking lots of juices and water, but any type of carbonated drinks seem to give it to me. I'm not really craving salads and many vegetables these days so I've been drinking that V-8 fusion (it has a serving of vegetables and fruit) and that doesn't give it to me, but I had some of my sons apple juice one morning and that did bring it back. Keep track of what you eat and drink and you may find a pattern. I have narrowed my heartburn down to red pasta sauce by tracking what I ate prior to my getting it each time. This may help you to steer clear of certain irritating foods as well.
Good Luck!
when you first noticed it, did it come and go . Or did you get it and it was here to stay, cause it happened last night for a few hours and I havent experienced it since... is this normal?
I just posted my own question about this, sorry.. I was wndering the same thing, were you on prenatal vitamins and had this happen?
Because i'm on them , and I read a lot of sites that say prenatals can cause metal mouth with out being pregnant
No way its not too early. That was actually my first sign of pregnancy before the sore boobs or anything. I remember eating Tuna fish, and I swear I could taste the metal from the can. That was like maybe 8-9 DPO, so really early
DO you take prenatal vitiams? Is een where some docs write it off that they cause them. Im just curious if anyone NOT on prenatal vit. has had this happen before they found out they were prego.??? I take them. bu i've taken them for 6 months and this is the first time its happened..
I haven't found out if I'm pregnant or not [testing monday] but for 2 days in a row I had this God aweful metallic taste in my mouth, it was super nasty!! Not sure if it's because i'm pregnant or not, but I guess we'll see. I sure hope that IF i am pregnant it doesnt keep coming back because it is just soo aweful!! good luck, i hope it stays away from you too!
Thats really good to know. I had it for about 3 hours last night at work, and today I've been fine so far... so I was just curious if it comes and goes like that early on.
This is considered as an early pregnancy sign. I belive that some people loose it after a while but some others have reported that it remained until they were in their second trimster.
