miscarriage or not driving me crazy please help!

Please can someone help me work this out. I have only ever had a few spots of blood that stopped and then brown discharge. I had a scan Monday and I should have been 10 weeks they told me the sac measured at 6 weeks so I've either miscarried or got my dates wrong. I haven't passed the baby yet and if the baby died at 6 weeks that was over 4 weeks ago now. Howlong does this usually take to happen? A nurse has just told me she would have thought it would have happened by now?also how is it possible to be 4 weeks out on your dates?
Sorry for the essay but this is driving me crazy

When I miscarried same thing happened to me and I had what is called a missed miscarriage where I didn't bleed or anything but had list the baby. They had to do a d n c. Then I had another one abd it took 4 weeks to bleed and fully miscarry

They said they wouldn't be able to hear a heartbeat yet either way so no heartbeat yet guess that's why I have to go back Monday to check. I know I have miscarried I read on the Internet some women's body just doesn't pass it or it can absorb back into the tissue in your body that must just be what my body has done. I hope everything goes well for your ladies pregnancies now and hope I conceive again pretty quickly xx

I've had 2 miscarriages my first one I was almost 13 weeks and when they checked me they said the baby died a month before and I had no signs of a miscarriage and had to have a emergency d&c and with my second one they said I had a 50/50 chance of another miscarriage that week I bleed filled up a pad in 10 minutes and now I'm pregnant again im almost 11 weeks and i will see if they can hear a heartbeat on Friday and im so scared it will be hard if I end up having another miscarriage

I miscarried june of 2013 and i had no heavy bleeding only light spotting. Same thing with mine i measured a few weeks less than what i should have and there was no heartbeat found. I spotted for almost a month and a half and one night woke up with cramping and passed the placenta and baby.

Tilliebean - I'm glad it all worked out for you, you must have just had the wrong dates then? This has to be the longest and hardest week ever, they have only done my bloods once so will have to wait for mine xx
Ashrod23 - thank you for replying I'm pretty sure I have miscarried and my body is just not letting it happen, we know our body better than anyone and I just don't feel the same anymore x

I went through the same thing honey, i thought i was 8 weeks turned out i was only 6 they told me it could be a decreasing pregnancy or an eptopic, but i had my hcg levels checked and it went from 5,000 to 22,000 in 2 days :) i had my 12 week scan a couple ofs days ago which im only 11 weeks tomorrow so i will have to have another scan in a week and a halfs time i hope your okay though i know how your feeling, i broke down in my mums arms :( xxx

Thank you GeekMom1213, I just no I can't have my dates wrong and I felt there was something wrong from 7 weeks but nobody listened to me just kept passing me around and nobody would scan me so I suppose miscarrying makes sense for me it's just that the baby died 4 was 3 days ago now so I just would have thought I would have had something bynow. I am wwanting a d&c if that's the case cause I need to let myself get back to normal which I can't do atm one min I'm crying the next I'm putting a brave face on. It's just the not knowing for now that's harder on top of thinking I've miscarried

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. You're not alone but I know that doesn't make it easier right now. I miscarried in December and my body didn't pass anything on its own. A scan at 11w showed a sac that was about 8w size and like you I knew my LMP and had a positive hpt at 4 weeks so I knew for sure I didn't just get my dates wrong. Many women start to bleed on their own but some people's bodies just retain and need a D&C to remove the remaining blood and tissue. It's not a terrible procedure, somewhat uncomfortable and you will have some cramping and bleeding afterwards but it isn't really painful. The hard part is the emotional part. Allow yourself to be sad and to grieve. You are not alone and you can make it through this. Good luck.

The nurse who I spoke to earlier said I have to wait until Monday so that they can compare the scans and bloods

Go to the er. If I were you....I wouldn't wait another minute.  They can do an ultrasound.  Keep us updated! Prayers

Yep that's what I should have been too but the sac is only measuring at 6 weeks not 10 when I had my scan on Monday. None of the options make sense I haven't bled enough to miscarry after a month and I can't have got my dates a month wrong surely

Idk why they're telling you you're only six weeks...my lmp was march 29 and i'll b 11 weeks on saturday.  I dont think u miscarried because u haven't bled too much. Hopefully they will give u a legit answer on monday.

I've been told that it would have to be filling a pad an hour to be a miscarriage and would have pain and have had neither. I am having another ultrasound on Monday it just seems so far away and is driving me crazy. My last period was the 29th March and periods have been between 28-32 days since I came off my pill but towards the end were around every 30 days. I had a positive test on the 30th April so I'm not sure how I can be 6 weeks

That amount of bleeding isn't enough to have miscarried. I guess you just got your dates wrong. The best way to find out is to have an ultrasound. What was the first day of your last period? If your last period started at the end of April 20th to 30th, then you should be close to six weeks. If you don't have regular periods, and it took more than two weeks after your period for you to ovulate, that could also be why your dates are off. I'm six weeks along, well be seven weeks on Thursday, and the first day of my last period was April 24th. I
