miscarriage or period??

I normally have 29 day cycles and started bleeding this morning at 46 days. I took a dollar store pregnancy test over a week ago and it had come back negative. I'm not sure if the test was accurate or not. Last night I had sex with my boyfriend again and afterwards got very light cramping, but didn't think much of it. I woke up early this morning with light spotting and cramps. I went back to sleep and then woke up again with heavy bleeding and strong cramps. I'm wondering if it could be a miscarriage or is it just my period? I'm not normally this late.

With your period being that late, you should easily have shown accurate on a pregnancy test. The heavy bleeding and strong cramps could be due to just being so late and then your cycle finally starting. Pregnancy isn't the only reason to skip a period, so its difficult to say what is going on.

Last week should have been enough time for a urine test to show positive if you were pregnant. So I don't think it is a miscarriage or pregnancy but I guess you can't really be sure unless you see your dr

I normally do not have heavy bleeding the first day at all. This morning there was a LOT of bright red blood. I don't know the signs of a miscarriage vs pregnancy. I might be worried for no reason, but am really looking for answers. Anyone?? please.
