Every baby might enjoy different things, but trust me; when the baby is crying and you don't know why AND you have things that need to get done, you'll be willing to try anything :) So I had both :) Good luck!
I had TWO... one for upstairs, one for downstairs. It made life 1000 times easier. I was never comfortable leaving the baby alone for too long, so she came right into the bathroom while i showered. we took it outside while we did yard work. upstairs, it gave her somewhere other than the bassinet to hang out. She never liked laying flat for very long- can't see much.
Like amy0013 mentioned...we also have the Fisher Price Papasan vibrating seat and Reid hates it.....so we bought a cheapy Bright Starts brand from Walmart for $25 and he LOVES it....The same with my friends baby......I use it when I'm in the shower...I stick him in that on the bathroom floor and peek out at him every minute or so.....
Sounds like it is well worth it...I just added it =) Thanks for sharing!
I would think so yes good investment! the thing i remember working in daycare is the babies like 4 months who couldnt sit up yet but were starting to eat baby food we would put them in there and feed them that way!! I guess you could do that in the swing but i know its kinda hard! Just something to consider maybe!!
I would say a bouncer is worth it. Make sure it actually 'bounces' though. We got the Fisher Price Papasan and it only 'vibrated' which my daughter never cared about. I always wished we had a seat that would actually bounce. :) The papasan was great for naps for her when she was a newborn and that was about it! :)
YES!! A million times, yes. DS loves his fisher price rainforest bouncer and spends time in it daily from day 1; he's now 17 weeks. Dont know what we'd do without it!!
I spent $150 on a swing that I used maybe 10 times because Aspen didn't enjoy being in it except when she was a newborn, newborn baby. I spent 30 on her bouncer and it saved my life. She LOVED sitting in it and used it until she was probably like 6 months. Plus it was really nice because you can move it around with you so if your cooking or cleaning or taking a bath you can have your little one near.
We lived in a really small apartment in DC when we had our daughter and only had room for one, so we got the bouncy seat, or the baby papasan that vibrated and I used it everyday. I would put it in the bathroom when I took a shower so the baby could be in there and I could see her. It's nice to not always have her all on the floor when I wasn't holding her, and it was easy to move around. I don't think a swing would be as easy to move from one room to another, but I am going to get a swing this time also.
Those are the two things that saved my life for the first months; a baby swing and a bouncer. Wont have another baby without them.
I used mine every day!
It never hurts to try it out.
never used mine. My ds was too bored in it and enjoyed his swing SO much better
well i have both on my registry a bouncy seat and a swing i've heard amazing things about the bouncy seat lol
