movement on only one side?

Hey ladies!

Well tomorrow I will be 24weeks along and I"m still in amazement with being pregnant! :) Anyhow my question is,.....is it normal to only feel the baby move on one side vs the other.  I always feel her move on my right side and in the middle but NEVER on my left.  Could my placenta just be on my left side more and tha'ts why I don't feel her over there? Just curious. My husband got to feel her move last week and last night again she was kicking harder than ever! she made my skin move and made me squeal! I wasnt expecting such a kick! LOL!

THanks for the info!
Happy Holidays to all!

I'm the same as Joy ... my placenta is right smack dab in the middle of my tummy (in the front).

I did feel most of the movement on my right side tho ... still do, for the most part.  But, again like Joy, I feel *a lot* of movement when I lay on either of my sides.

I always felt my daughters on my right side. My placenta was in the way, right smack dab in the middle of my tummy so I didn't really get huge movements unless I was laying down on my side. Some women just feel everything their babies do at a certain point, but I didn't. I only felt rolling and pushes, never kicks. Probably because of the placenta.

It's completely normal! Earlier in my Pregnancy, between 19-29 weeks I only felt my little boy on my right side. I had 2 Ultrasounds during that time and both times his legs were on my right side and thats why I was constantly feeling him kick there! Since I hit 30 weeks he has been bobbing around more so I feel him ALL over but for the longest time it was only on my right side. I just had my 3D Ultrasound a week ago and one minute his feet were on the left, the next they were on the right so I felt him everywhere. But I think its normal, it just depends on the position of your baby, thats all. As long as she's kicking somewhere, thats what matters! :)

I'm 23 weeks an I my baby only moves on my left side.  I was a bit worried about it too.  But when I saw my midwife you found the heart beat on my right side.  Meaning that my babies feet are on my left.  Thats why I feel movement on one side.  So its normal.  God Bless, Anita
