mucus plug?

I just lost my mucus plug. Can I still take a bath? I'm 39+4

I think I'll play it safe and not take a bath. I took one up until I lost my plug but I don't want to hurt my baby now that I've lost my plug.

Not positive but I've heard once you lose your mucous plug you shouldn't soak in water because it can cause bacteria to enter your cervix

I still take baths. I don't see how you wouldn't feel water just gushing out of you. My doctor actually recommended me take a bath to try and relax and bring on labor.
