So thursday the 9th i hd a sono and i was 5 days past due and there were no signs of labor but at my sono they caught me off guard and sid i had little to no fluid so i have to go to the hospital to be induced and i already had my induction scheduled for monday. So got to hospital at 10 am on the 9th. They checked me and said my cervix was not ready for labor so they couldnt start me on the pitocin yet. I was 1 cm 80% effaced. So they inserted cervidil to soften my cervix i was supposed to have it in for 12 hrs but my dr decided to check me 5-6 hrs after putting it in and said it was soft and ready and took it out at this time i was 2 cm 90% effaced. They strted the pitocin at a 1 and increased it every halfhr contractions started to get so bad i got two iv pain meds but they wore off quickly. After the 2nd one wore off i just decided to get the epidural it was about 4am they checked me an hr later and i was 3 cm 100% effaced and -3 station they stopped the pitocin and an hr and a half to two hrs later chrcked again and said i was about 7-8 cm 100% effaced and -1 station about an hr or two later checked again i was 9cm 100% and 0 station and bout hr later said i was 10 cm 100% and -1 so i could start pushing i still had the epidural but i could move my legs and stuff just not much but i felt alot of pain and pressure pushing and it was so hard! But i got thru it and an hr and 15 mins later he was out at 11:27am 10-10-14 weighing 6 pounds 3 ounces 18.5inches long and a head full of hair. He is too perfect and georgous and totally worth the 24 hrs of labor and 1hr and 15 mins of pushing. His name is Waun Andrew Bell and im so happy :-) il put pics on my profile as soon as i can :-)
