my boyfriend thinks im a bad mom :(

I love my daughter! A few minutes ago I was looking in the penny saver for a apt for us to move into. Found a beautiful ad and was in the middle of highlighting it when my daughter crawled off the bed :( I look down for literally 5 seconds and heard her hit the carpet. She cried I cried. I cried longer than she did. She is now laughing and crawling around and im still crying. I tell my boyfriend and he is so upset at me. He made me cry harder. Mind you my daughter didn't fall far like 8-9 inches to the carpet. (My bed is very low) Anyways my daughter is playing with toys now and im still crying. He made feel like a terrible mom. She is 7 months and this was her first fall I feel I did good to make it this far without her falling. I am still crying while im writing this post

Accidents are going to happen and this won't be the last time she falls or hits her head. You can't stop everything from happening so don't feel bad. I cried the first time my baby fell aslo so I definitely know the feeling. As long as she's acting normal and not throwing up or anything shw should be fine!

Dnt feel bad that's probably his way of showing he was scared. My sis has four kids and every single one got dropped or stuck in between the bed somehow! It happens, with my sisters last baby she was like " this is the only one I haven't dropped." The next night plop! She rolled right of the couch and on the floor. She was only a month at the time and yea it was scary but she was back to her normal self not even ten minutes later she cried for like a second! Dnt stress your doing just fine!

That happened to my daughter when she was 6 months , I was sooo scared & cried for life and death . Omg!!! That waa such a horrible moment for me ... I ended up taking her to the hospital because she kept dosing off to sleep & she wouldn't wake up as I called her name.

My son fell off the kitchen bench when he was 8 months old and I still feel sick and tear up when I think about it.
It was totally my fault and I learned my lesson believe you me.
Accidents happen but you learn and grow from them.
You're not a bad mum at all.

Are you serious? That is terrible, he should not have made you feel bad over that!! What is he going to do if she crawls outside and eat a bug? Kids are messy and unpredictable.
He can not get mad over things like that. Neither of you will be perfect parents.
Its a learning experience! He needs to be more understanding

Relax, it happens. I'm a PEDs nurse and get so many parents calling about things like this. Babies are sneaky and accidents happen, it doesn't make you a bad mom. The fact that she started crying right away is great. Just keep an eye in her for the night and make sure if she starts acting abnormal in any way or vomits more than once that you either take her to the Hosp or call your pediatrician on call.
