my heart rate is almost as fast as my babys

I went for one of my two weeks doctors appointments today (I'm 33 weeks) and when they took my pulse it was 137 bpm. The doctor listened to my heart and lungs, checked for swelling, and said everything seemed not to be concerning but sent me to get blood work done to test my thyroid and said she might be sending me to a cardiologist if anything else comes up. Has this happened to anyon?. She said she's not too concerned about it because I don't have any other alarming symptoms. Just wondering what could cause this.

That's really high for a resting heart rate but maybe you were stressed.

Can you take your heart rate right now and see what it is?  Find your pulse on your neck with your fingertips,  and count beats for 10 seconds.  Then multiply that number times 6 and you'll get your heart rate.

My pulse always races when I'm dehydrated.  Maybe try upping your water intake?
