I wasn't aware of that and this is my first time with Gestational Diabetes. Thanks for sharing @amygaitane :)
I have gestational diabetes and at 36 weeks 2 days. I've had to have NST once a week since 31 weeks. They need baby's heart rate to reach a certain point twice in twenty minutes. And baby needs so much movement in that 20 minutes.
They'll likely do it if your overdue or a little before your due if there's any concerns.
Yea I think its only if there's concern because this is my 3rd pregnancy and the first time I will be doing it my dr wants to make sure that everything will be fine with the baby before he induces
Is there a certain time they do these tests? I am 38+4 And have never had one. Do they only do it if they are concerned?
I had my second one today. They want to measure the peaks of his movements and his heart beat. The first 15 mins today he had the hiccups so we had to wait until that was over to get a better reading.
They just put a monitor on your belly so they can hear the heartbeat and give you a button to push everything time the baby moves! Eat something or drink something to make your baby move that way its easier and quicker for them to get results! I've had 2 and im 37weeks
