on birth control, unprotected sex, bleeding, period soon, need adivce.

I'm currently taking othro tri-cyclen and it is coming up on the end of my third month starting it.  I had unprotected sex on the 21st and i am due to get my period sometime after the 31st. Sorry for the graphics, but the sex was pretty rough, and was my first time having sex in a few months.  I experienced bleeding the day after, really heavily for like two seconds the second day, and then really light after that and still very very light today (more brownish discharge than blood), a week later.  I have pms symptoms like usual, breast swolleness/tenderness, cramping (more so when i was bleeding heavily), back pain, which are all conveniently early pregnancy symptoms as well.

basically, I would just like to know what i should do.  Should i wait, see if i get my period, and if i do, okay. and if i don't, take a test? or should i take a test even if i do get my period?

i'm young and scared and wanna know if i just bled because it was rough, or if i'm pregnant. :(

If you took you birth control pills every day for those three months, then most likely the bleeding was from the rough sex.  If your period comes on time, there isn't much need to take a pregnancy test.
