There is a pack n play I'm getting for 85.00 it is smaller than a big one so it doesnt take up no more room than a bassinet. It is made by graco and is sooo cute.
Go to yard sales that specifically state that they are selling baby items
I have used pack "n" plays in the past & never had a problem.. I plan on getting one too in the beginning.. Because I like the bassinet attachment you can place on the top and it's nice to have the versatility to put/bring it wherever you want to be close to your baby..
My son sleeps in a pack and play since he is still in our room. Never had a problem. I love it
My daughter slept in her pack n play from the day she was born until she moved into her toddler bed. It made traveling a lot easier too because she was used to sleeping in the pack n play.
I have a pack n play for my daughter & I'm hoping she will stay in it when she's born .. It was $99 & came with bassinet , changing table , play mat , mobile , diaper & wipe storage area
Im going to get a play pen or pack and play for when the baby comes our zellars are closing and there is one with a bassinet on for $50 so my mom said she would buy it for us. Than when it gets a bit bigger we are going t get a crib walmart has nice one that change to a todler bed with railings than a day bed and it is $150 regular price lol
I know this one woman who let her daughter sleep in her pack and play from birth until 18 months, and now she's having a hard time getting her into her toddler bed because the little girl loves the pack and play soooo much.
I really think I'm going to go with the pack and play option, just because it is so much more convenient, and it takes away having to buy an individual bassinet, and some also come with the changing table. Plus, I will be moving in with my baby's father shortly, so we will be hard pressed for space, as he already has a 5 year old and his house is only two bedrooms and it being so portable is sooo convenient! But I do believe I will get a mattress and sheets to go in the bottom of the pack and play, so my baby will have a little extra comfort and support.
Thank you all for your insight, once again you are ALL amazing! :)
I have a crib already and I'm getting a pack n play specifically for the first few months when the baby is in my room. They have ones with a bassinet and a changing table on top. They are super convenient. Plus when your baby gets older it's nice to have when you travel and stuff. My two year old still sleeps in a pack n play when we go camping.
I said stay away from Craigslist cause my brother bought rims off it and the ended up not fitting so he put them back on Craigslist someone wanted to buy the rims set him up and ended up trying to run my brother over stating the rims were stolen and my brother had a bill of sale so he didn't steal them acquitted but th but the gentleman that guy tried to run my brother and beat up his girlfriend so that's why I said stay away fro stay away from Craigslist. Plus you have the Craigslist killer
well in my case, I bought a phone that was completely locked out. whenever i went to get it activated at sprint, i was informed that the owner of the phone reported it stolen and so they took it and put it in the back of the store and contacted the owner of the phone. but the baby section probably isn't too bad. thankfully I am blessed enough to have a lot of people that have recently had boys, so I am already receiving tons of boy clothes and bottles and such. I got some brand new Dr. Brown glass bottles from my next door neighbor who said she didn't feel like learning to put it together lol
God is definitely good, even though I don't acknowledge him near enough!
I am scarred from craigslist from one bad experience lol I think I'll steer clear of that unless absolutely necessary. thanks though :)
Idk why someone said stay away from craigslist.....I've never had any trouble with it. Just make sure you take someone with you to meet the person and meet them in a public area. It's not that big of a deal.
Nothing wrong with it, but don't forget about craigslist! Most of the time you can talk the people down a bit too.
Ya it's really cool. There are a lot of programs to help women get the things they need to raise babies you just have to look for them and be willing to work and help out :)
hmm that's cool, i'll look into that!
The second hand store may have a program where you can work for a crib/pack n play. The one in my town does that it's something to look at.
i definitely will! thank you guys, I knew I wouldn't get a response on the baby products forum lol
yea Walmart has them for that much just price around before you buy $70 is good though
I'm on amazon now creating my wish list, and I found a pack and play with a bassinet for $69.99. it sounds too good to be true almost lol
Walmart has one for 139 and it comes with the mattress...
hmm do you have Facebook they have some forums that are set up buy people and they sell there things baby things i have one on my page i cant remember it right off hand now and i am on my phone cant see it try looking for something like that ill try looking tomorrow for you if u like i know a friend of mine has one for sale but she is to far from you just stay away from Craigslist
I would definitely use the pack n play with the built in bassinet, but even those can be pricey, almost as much as a crib. We just bought a really nice crib for only 150 at walmart, I bought my SIL's pack n play (with built in bassinet) for 129, so there wasn't much difference there.
and i'm in south carolina!
