Hi I have PCOS, Some women with PCOS ovulate on their own. some have period without ovulation, and some have neither period nor ovulation. I did not have any periods on my own and didn't ovulate for 3 years of ttc. I was really bad though, I had ovarian drilling in december 2009 then I started my period (first time without meds!) within about 6 weeks, With injectable drugs i finally ovulated, we had to do IUI because I have hostile CM also :(. So after our fifth round it worked!! I'm currently 11 weeks. It is possible to get pregnant with PCOS it really depends on how you respond to treatment. And numbers don't mean everything I had a normal testosterone and insulin but I had almost 100 cysts!! Your ultrasound will tell you a lot. Good luck hun.
dose anyone know if you can still ovulate wit havin pco and are the periods true periods? Any advice is greatly welcomed ty in advance xx
my mam is like that when i was younger i used to think she was my daddy lol but you could try laser hair removal it worked for my mam xx hope the rest of your pregnancy is blissful xx xx enjoy it xx xx
You are blessed, me? I've had to deal with hairs on my chin and neck, sometimes bumps, the looks I get down at the supermarket, or up and about as people try to figure out if I'm a man in drag.. It's very uncomfortable, also, buying shaving creams and the works.. But being pregnant has saved me from the looks.. At least for now.. The hairs are terrible, they got stronger and even more difficult to deal with.. So yeah.. You shouldn't be bothered, it will be well.. :)
thanks a mill you've relaxed me a little xx xx she said it could be mild as the only symptom i have is the high testoserone xx i.ve no hair on my chin or neck so she said thats a good sign xx
Yes you can still conceive with pco, I've been living with the condition for over 4 yrs, and it was thought that I couldn't get pregnant.. But with God on my side, doctors help, and me following up on blood tests, medications, I'm 30 weeks gone.. Hang in there, there can be a miracle when you believe.. All the best :)
she said my testoserone is .11 and the norm is .2 the doc didn't seem to worried but i am.. I have to wait for the ultra sound to confirm her suspicion x xx
Yes you can still TTC but it all depends on how bad the PCOS is to see if you can do it without any further help from a doctor. There are many different stages and severity to how bad it is and only a doctor can determine how bad yours is. Good luck!
