perm, relaxer, weave? any suggestions on how I should style my hair ...

So I usually relax my hair but ever since I got pregnant I decided to cut back on the relaxer since it contains way too many chemicals.. At the moment I have braids but its about that time I take them off .. My hair is kinky curly and I have never worn my natural texture like I don't even know how to style it :( ... Never had a weave in I'm used to relaxing my hair and putting clip on extensions, everyone is telling me to perm my hair it worn do nothing to the baby but I rather avoid chemicals I'm a ftm and I'm paranoid.. My baby shower coming up idk what to.. Any suggestions ladies :(

My stylist told me the main one they avoid during pregnancy is permit because it's so toxic. I would probably consult your doctor before trying a perm, even if you know people who have. Just better safe than sorry. :)

Whatever helps for u. I dont think it'll harm the bby pregnant women in my family have been perming their hair for years. I'm permin my hair my pregnancy has changed my natural hair texture nd its very difficult for me to deal with. Kinda thought I was crazy for weeks I'd been asking myself wtf happened to my hair

Braids or a sew in. I'll be getting some type of Marley twist or braids since my hair is very curly and i want a style that will last and not get frizzy fast and I'm approaching my due date soon .

If u get a weave be careful on how tight the person does it. I have had good ones and bad ones. If to loose at the bottom they don't last long, if to tight u get tension bumps that turn into sores. I personally wouldn't perm ur hair if uh ace had a relaxer done anytime soon bc of this risk of the chemicals not working together and u loosing hair from breakage. If I was u I would try natural and google ways to style that are fun n simple.
