I'm not that far along yet but I usually do a hard work out such as insanity or p90x ect... are we allowed to still do these and just take it a bit easier?

As long as you're slow paced and breathing okay I don't see anything wrong with working out unless your doctor puts you on bed rest.. I'd about p90x and all of that.. that may be too intense !

My midwife said listen to your body and no exercises where you're flat on your back. Take breaks more often than you usually do and make sure your temp doesn't get too elevated. She even gave me the go ahead to start jogging. I jogged semi regularly from about two to six months even though I hadn't been jogging regularly prior to pregnancy. If your body is already used to strenuous activity there's no reason to stop. Just modify where needed.

My doctor said not to. She said that I need to be able to hold a conversation with someone the whole time I work out without struggling to breath. She suggested yoga and walking.
