pregnancy & ranitidine

My last period was on 4th of august. my periods didn't come so far. we had intercourse on the 19th day after mensus ie, on 22nd. Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for  stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when  have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition.  pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance. kindly reply as early as possible

There shouldn't be a problem with taking the rantinadine while pregnant.  my doctor let me take it at 150mg sometimes twice a day throughout my whole pregnancy.

when are you due for your period? depending on the kind of test you have. some you can take up to four days before your expected period. however, its best if you wait until you actually miss your first day though cause your hormone levels should be stronger than four days before the missed period.
hope that helps!

hi!
so i dont really have a medical answer for you. except consult your doctor. you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby.  i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it.  but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it.
but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first. i mean, if this is a long term stomach issue then yes, talk to your doctor and see what you can do to help things along and have a healthy baby. but if its something recent and you think might clear up soon, then i would say wait until you are feeling 100% until you start trying. it will make things more enjoyable for you, so you can really appreciate the entire process. plus, its just not fun being sick.
i had stomach issues all my life but two winters ago i had stress induced stomach issues. my gallbladder was giving me a lot of grief but it wasn't really my gallbladder, it was just stress and anxiety getting to me. so since that experience i have changed my entire outlook. i realized i didn't take enough ME time in my day. maybe this is something you need to do too? it might help you heal?! ranitadine is for stomach ulcers and usually you get those from stress. maybe something in your life needs to be changed so it is more relaxing for you? or you could add something in your day just for you to enjoy. read, bubblebath, crafts, walks, computer time, games, puzzles and so on.
in anycase i hope things turn out alright for you.  i went to go see the doctor before ttc so that i knew i was in good health. maybe a regular checkup with your doctor would give you the opportunity to ask questions and make sure you're body is up for. listen to your body. cause even though i mentally dont feel stress, in fact i felt like i could take on more!!! but my body said no way hunny, you just slow down there. and i did and i got better.
hope you are feeling 100% again soon.
p.s. i know how your diet can change into crackers when your tummy hurts, think of it this way...is that enough nutrition for a baby? maybe wait until you can eat more nutritious foods, if you can. best of luck!!!
