I wouldn't recommend drinking them it can contain chemicals bad for baby
You can get protein fr a lot of different sources than just a protein shake. Beans, Greek yogurt, cheese, almond milk, etc. be careful w too many protein shakes bcuz of added unnecessary calories & too many protein shakes/bars can make you constipated.
Yea I'd try to avoid the protein powder and get the protein I need from the food I eat. I'm a vegetarian so I get my protein from tofu and other foods made from soy, beans, nuts, and dairy products. You don't know all the ingredients in the protein powder so I'd ask my doctor about it.
Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, nuts, peas, lentils, etc all have a lot of protein. Avoid protein powders since you can't verify ingredients.
Yeah i know that its not only found in meat.
Protein isn't only found in meat.
Keep drinking them hun you have to have something in your body if your not able to eat you need some nutrition
I know they are made for working out. Ive always been into working out and drank them and i still work out (in moderation) during my pregnancy. But thank you!
Protein shakes are made for working out. If your not working out your body will store the protein and make you fat. Protein can be found in nuts and beans with rice to make a complete protein. But to answer your question yes it's safe just as long as there isn't any added chemicals.
Yeah i have the powder so i make it. Thank you!(:
Whey protein itself is generally good for pregnant women, however ready made protein shakes can contain additives and preservatives that aren't so good for momma and/or baby. You can always buy the whey protein by itself and make your own smoothies :-)
Ive heard whey is good from many people but theres just so manh different whey proteins out there
I've heard that some of them can contain ingredients that can be harmful and to check with your doctor or midwife about the brand your using before taking them.
