question

Scenario:

Last night, I was having foreplay with my gf and we noticed she started to bleed after manual sex assuming it was her period. later that night we had unprotected sex for a few seconds before I pulled out. We went and bought plan b since she is not on the pill and she took it. About an hour or two later we started hooking up again and had unprotected sex for another few thrusts before pulling out.

1. Today her period has stopped-is this possible? she said they are typically light. I read online that this can happen if Plan B is taken.
2. being that plan b was taken an 1-2 hours before we had unprotected sex the second time does this mean we should of gotten another pill? Reading some recent studies I am assuming that we did not need too since the timeframe was so close.
3. Being that she possibly was on her period, I didn't ejaculate, and plan b was taken how much of a chance is there that pregnancy occured?

Thank you in advance for her help. This was a good lesson learned.

good to know that the chances are low eventho she took plan b an hour or two before we had intercourse. It makes sense to me, just wanted to confirm with a MD. Do you know if there is a difference between the generic version of the Morning After Pill and Plan B?

Have a good holiday season.

Hi!
If your girlfriend was my patient I would advise you that  the chances of pregnancy are quite low.  It is possible that her bleeding stopped because of the Plan B.  Condoms are a good idea too!
Good luck!

The bleeding was right away and it was pretty heavy...what you mention I thought too so not really sure . She checked and said she was not supposed to get her period for a couple of days. that is why we ended up doing plan b.just wondering how long its effective for.

Thanks!

Could you of caused the bleeding by being a little rough or deep with your fingers, or a nail. Is her period actually due? Is she regular? The bleed stopping may actually suggest it was caused by the foreplay etc.
