I have type 1 diabetes and that is true. They dont want u to go past the 39 wks bc the placenta starts to deteriorate, as previously mentioned. This is my second and I am having c section on my 39 wks due to an emergency c sec with the first. But I was induced at 39 wks with the first as well

It definately depends on your doctor and the growth of your baby. If you can keep your GD under control and your baby isn't gaining weight too fast then they may not induce you.  But if your GD is affecting the babies growth and developement they will do what is best for both of you.
