quit smoking?

Hello everyone. This is my first time here. I am 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first baby. I just found out i was pregnant a couple days ago. I would like to quit smoking but want to know the best way to do that with out putting stress on me or baby. Any advise?

I slowly quit. Id only have 3 cigs a day, four if out was a bad day. I haven't had one for about 3 months. I still want to smoke, but I no longer feel the need to so it's a lot easier.

I quit as soon as I found out and I was a very heavy smoker I never could in the past  but I had something more important than myself to think about. Good luck

Don't worry about stressing the baby, it is more stressful to the baby to be smoking than to quit smoking.

Try a quitting-smoking class (the Adventist Hospital here has one with a great reputation) or a hypnosis program for stopping smoking.

Just cut yourself back slowly. Suckers and gum help. I don't know if your local wic office does it but ours will supply you with a year of diapers for free if you quit smoking while pregnant something you could look into
