I found out today I might be signed up for medical Friday but I could still loose my baby still because it could take several months for my medical card to get here and I need it now :'( I don't want to loose my baby! I'm so stressed over just that and I feel like crying so hard! is there something I can do? I'm 23+ week's

Idk where u live but in Indiana if u are pregnant they give u pregnancy medicaid immediately. So regardless if u have it or not u would at least have it through ur pregnancy.

It is against the constitution for them to take your child just because of no medical insurance. Unless you live in Japan where there are limitations you have nothing to worry about besides drowning in medical bills. I dont know who told you that but dont let it cause you unnecessary stress.

Also it says you live in California go to your nearest county office and take your proof of pregnancy they will issue you emergency medical. I live 20 min from your city listed.

Sorry just trying to help if your just waiting for your card you can call the insurance company whether its straight medical or IEHP and have them give you your member ID number. Write it down any dictor can see you with just that number

I did and they sent me to welfare and set me up with an appointment and my parents told me that today, I don't see them often, they said I'm not far enough along for emergency medical or I don't look far enough along for it :'( aren't they right though because then it could count as neglect to an Infint even if it's not born yet?

Umm...if u live in ca (y do u r talking about medi-cal..right).u get medical care for ur pregnancy no matter what...go into anwhere that excepts medi -cal and u can get care no matter what...also..it dosnt matter if u have ur card or not..they can run ur name...also..ppl have healthy babyz all the time with.no medical card during pregnancy...even if u don't get care for.months ull prolly b fine..giod luck..and u shud.do more.research about pregnancy and.medical coverrrage...best wishez

Im sorry to tell you your parents are completely wrong. You are eligible for emergency medical as early as 4 weeks pregnant. And even though itll take a while for them to approve your case with welfare they will approve your emergency medical as soon as you bring a proof of pregnancy. You need to go back in and appy for emergency. I used to work for the county. They will also issue you megency food stamps if your income is low enough even if you are barely pregnant. They cant take your baby just for not going to the doctor although in my personal opinion you need to go ASAP. People skip doctors all together these day with certain religions and beliefs.

U get emergency medi cal for.pregnancy ....also I got medi cal b 4 I waas pregnant..so it wasnt any emergency..and I got it in one day...so u shud b able 2 get it immediately...and no they will not take ur baby away for having no medical care..even tho u definitely can...og and I didnt get mo card for a few weeks but I was able 2 use my medi cal coverage right away....

I agree with hellojojo 2200 it would probly be best for you and your baby if you educate ourself with pregnancy and how the system works. Once your baby is born you will have to deal with a world of complicated paperwork and responsibilities

I did a bunch of research bit that never popped up that I can just go in anywhere and if it's not true though I don't have the money to pay any medical bills whatsoever

Hmmm that's very weird... Doesn't matter how far along you are I applied for medical when I was just a month pregnant and my medical was active the next month. I also live in california ..
What I don't understand is how are u gonna lose ur baby??????

Just because its called emeegwncy meducal doesnt mean literal 'emergency' it simply means you need medical for your baby. And what jojo is talking about is the 100s of county clinics that will see you same day and issue you medical same day. I dont know if this is close to you but KERN COUNTY MEDICAL CLINIC offers this.i just googled that so its not difficult to find one

in a court of law of someone decides to get a hair up their ads or I get an *** hole Dr. they can take my baby away due to neglect to the baby by not seeing a Dr. even if I bring up I applied for it and just didn't get the card to go see a Dr right away they will still count it as a form as abuse

I had problemz with my medical half way thru my pregnancy...they shug it off due 2.paper work mix upp.. ans when I went for my appointment they took me anyway..they told me b cu im.prgnant I get care.no matter what...also they r telling u stuff backwards...u need 2 go 2 a dr. And get an offical pregnancy test..then tame that 2 human services and they will give u medi cal...and I swear ull b able 2 get care anywhere that takes medical..and once u get medical they will retro actively pay for the bills..

I'm sorry but all this sounds so weird to me how u can't get medical and ur already 23weeks pregnant
They won't deny medical to you at all when it comes to you being pregnant doesn't matter if u look big enough or not..
