scan shown waters have gone !!!!

37+6 days been in pain since sunday and thought id been leaking fluid and scan this morning shown i have lost my waters i am booked for a c section 8 days from now so dnt no what happens i think my section will be brought forword anyone had this before ??

i have been leaking from sunday and placenta is working fine so they say waters have went they use steroids coz of the c section as natural birth the lungs squeez on way out but with section they dont so best to make babys lungs as mature as possible

So your water didn't break - your baby has just stopped producing amniotic fluid?  

You are so close to term I'm kind of surprised they're using steroids - 38 weeks is considered full term.

I guess they're being extra cautious!

hey ladys !! they said my waters was very low on scan and my c section will be friday cervix closed!! been started on anti biotics and steroids for babys lungs and i think i was between sunday and last night my waters went not sure tbh.....  so if i start to labour on my own they will emergency section me but they need to leave 24 hours between steroids they say baby will be hear soon either way

I would think they wouldn't wait long at all to deliver, especially if they don't know how long the fluids have been out. That doesn't seem safe to wait that long.

In the Uk if your waters are gone they have to deliver the baby within 24hours and normally you have to have antibiotics because there is a risk of infection once waters have gone.Hope they have sorted something out for you and goodluck

i thought also they would bring it forward as they only allow 24hrs for when ur waters have gone??? good luck :) not long now x

No fluid is not safe for baby. I'm sure they will move it up. Get packing!

I would think almost for sure they'll move up your surgery.  Especially since they really don't know how long the baby has been without amniotic fluid.

Yeah I agree with jkrodgers.. 8 days is waaay to long if your waters have gone.. hee in NZ you have 24 hours to start labor or the induce you.

No I sorry this hasn't happened to me. If your water has broken you
Should be delivered soon because of chance of infection. What did the dr say?

Sorry i cant answear your question but i have a feeling im leaking waters to how did you suspect is there a way of telling? Im 39+3 and good luck btw x
