severe calf pain

My daughter is 35 weeks pregnant and has suffered muscle cramps/spasms in her legs however this morning she woke up with severe pain in the calf of her leg. Tylenol, stretching is not releiving it. I never suffered from this in pregnancy so I dont know what to think. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thx

Dehydration will do that, she needs to drink more water! I hate that, I can't stretch at all in my sleep or when I wake up. Unless I've drank a ton of water!

This will probably sound strange, but my midwife told me to eat more bananas. I now eat a banana a day, and although I can feel the tightness in my claves I no longer get the full on cramps =]

Hey, I am almost 29 weeks pregnant. And I get really bad leg cramps as well. Like was said though I just drank more water because I was dehydrated, and eating more bananas will help. Hope your cramps get better. :-)

They can still be sore that long. Especially if its muscles that haven't been used in awhile or in that nature. Potassium is also good.

Sometimes it's also a sign of dehydration. Try drinking lots of water. Also try eating a banana, that also helps with leg cramps. Hope this helps.

Massage or warm compresses will help. It's from all the cramping. Her muscles are sore.
