Thank you all for your responses.
You've taken more time to respond than the physicians I've seen. I simply get a: "You're crazy" and I'm dismissed.
Thank you all again so very much!
I agree with others- there is something else going on here. A distended stomach is definitely a concern as well.
You are not pregnant (at least not more than 2 weeks pregnant). A HPT will detect pregnancy about 2 weeks after conception when performed correctly, a blood test will detect pregnancy before then, and an US will detect signs of pregnancy 2-3 weeks after conception. These techniques would not miss a 5 month pregnancy!
Thank you so very much for responding, Nickie :)
This question I actually posted a week ago on another site and never got any responses. It's now been over a month since I've been bleeding and passing giant clots.
I've read so many stories about women not knowing they were pregnant until came time to push. I just want to make certain that I'm not going crazy.
I don't think that a vaginal ultrasound or a normal ultrasound would miss a baby at this point (especially 5 months along) your baby would be about a pound and there would be no way that they could have missed that on an ultrasound. Even when I was 6w5d when I had my first ultrasound my doctor could clearly make out the baby at that point. It is possible that you have a hormone imbalance (such as PCOS which I have too) and it makes your periods irregular or even absent all together. As for the movements in your stomach, a lot of time indigestion can be mistaken as movement (even for women in their first few months of pregnancy) and it is possible that you are having adverse affects from your medication that the doctor gave your to bring on your period.
