sign of learly abour??

I m ftm and 39+1 wks pregnant. I hav been having very bad tightening in my abdomen for the last more than 6 hrs. I got no idea how the contractions gonna feel like. I feel tired and uncomfortable. Cant time the tightening and I didn't lose my mucous plug yet. Any mommies got any idea whether this is a sign of early labour or something normal at last stage of pregnancy??? Any input will b appreciated.

I m in Australia. It's 5 o'clock in the morning nd I hav been awake for last an hour which is strange. baby is moving a lot. I don't know what's happening. Whether this is stress or something else.

I bet you'll go into labor soon!!! On Wednesday and Thursday I was experiencing that tightening in my lower tummy... Thursday night nd nd my hubby made dinner sat in bed to eat nd out of no where I got this crazzzzzzyyyy tightening in my belly that went into my upper va jay jay area I was so uncomfortable I ran to the bathroom nd the only way I could get semi comfortable was on my hands nd knees... It passed but surely enough it happened again so my honey started timing them.. They took my breath away nd have me like the bold sweats.. Called labor nd delivery they said I should wait till 5 min apart nd they were already to that point. So they stated about 8.30 got to the hospital about 11 I was worried about being sent home nd not admitted but they checked me nd I was 5 CM!!!!!!!! FTM myself had my boy the next day Friday morning at 8.51 less than 20 min of actual pushing.. Here at the hospital now get to leave sometime today.. I hope this helps I think ur in ur way soon.. Ull know when contractions hit its just something uve never felt before... Just remember to breath!!!

Contractions commonly feel like tightening in the beginning of labor. Get some rest, try a warm shower to relax and move things along. I didn't lose my plug with either of mine until I was in active labor. Get ready to start timing :)
