Jeez don't be so rude, you obviously aren't reading what he wrote right. I would let your obstetrician know what the neurologist thinks about all this and go from there. And if she has another break out definitely take it. I'll apologize for the hormonal assholes on here in advance. Sorry hope it all works out. Kats999 did u take your meds your whole pregnancy?

And IF you cant stop taking medicines for whole pregnancy then just for first trimester which is most important and the most dangerous.

I have epilepsy, Im now pregnant, this is my second pregnancy, at first I was obliged to także medicines by doctor and my daugther was born healthy but had some issues related to epi medicines, she is four now and have problems with talking and understanding... At this pregnancy doctor gave me choice to take, change or stop taking medicines. I decided to stop taking, because risk is too big. Its always better for baby to not take any medicines related to neurology.

Did your wife's epilepsy break out or not?? You said it did and the ob said don't take the med if it DOESNT break out.  So logically that means take it if it DOES break out.  I don't understand how there is question here.
