spinal vs iv!

Hey ladies that have had a c section... does the insertion of the spinal hurt MORE or less than an iv/getting your blood drawn?

2) how bad is the needle used to numb u before they insert the spinal?

Not painful at all

I was the same as Deedebaybeh, it was painless. And i had my back to them so i never saw the needle. And I don't remember getting an iv during my csection but I've had a lot in my lifetime and I hate iv's.

& after the anesthesia kicked in, i couldn't feel anything. they inserted my catheter and i was like "tell me before you do it" (was very scared of that) and my ob was like "it's done" lol. felt absolutely nothing

to me it was painless. since i wasnt going through any contractions/labor or anything the anesthesia was just like a normal shot.

& they never showed me the needle, that or i didn't look. So idk about that part..
