stomach flu while pregnant

Has anyone had the stomach flu while pregnant? I'm 90% sure I have it. I feel absolutely miserable. I want to eat but I don't want to get ore sick off what I eat. Any suggestions? My symptoms are terrible belly ache for over 24 hours, weak and tired, acid reflux, nauseated, diarreah.

I got the flu before I found out I was pregnant with my first. Just have to keep hydrated! Broth, juice, water,7up. Popsicles of some kind, if it gets worse and you're farther along I suggest the hospital so they can get you hooked up to an iv

You will definitely end up with an IV bag attached to your arm if you don't constantly have a drink in your hand.

Try a candy cane. Peppermint helps with nausea and it might help you produce more spit to stay hydrated. And pepcid AC is my best friend for heartburn. I think it works for acid reflux too.

Thanks,  I'm 26 weeks. I feel like crap. I called the nurse on call and she said that I don't need to go in unless I start throwing up or if I stop peeing. I feel so drained.

I had the norovirus when 7 months pregnant with my first. Hardly left the bathroom due to near-constant vomiting and diarrhea and didn't eat anything solid for three days. Never crossed the threshold into serious dehydration and therefore didn't need IV fluids (good thing, since I was incredibly contagious as well and didn't want to spread it to others). Sips of water and soft bland foods when you start back on solids - we call it the BRAT diet for bananas, raisins, applesauce, and toast. Take it easy and wash your hands religiously. Almost all stomach bugs will self-resolve within 48-72 hours. You'll be feeling better in no time.
