So just found out i have strep throat and am only 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant. They gave me amoxicillin for ten days scared it wld hurt baby but if the doctor recommended then it has to b safe right. ?

Strep throat you get fever headache and its super painful to pass saliva. If yu think you have it go get check

wow sounds like a perfect name for what I feel like... I keep having harsh coughs and my thoart is sore I couldnt pinpoint what it feels like... I hope its not strep throat but I really hope you get better!

Thank you girls i have been having a fever since Sunday thats why i went to er cz doc cldnt see me and told me the fever ws from strep. I left ma doc a message telling him what i gt but i will ask the pharmacist as well just to double make sure.

She's right it is very safe. And remember if you get a fever to keep it down with Tylenol a fever over 103 can be fatal to your baby this early in pregnancy

Amoxicillin is the safest antibiotic they can perscribe for pregnant women. I asked my ob andpharmasist before taking it. They both said it was safe. I have had so many infections since I got pregnant. I promise you its safe. My baby is super healthy and I've had to take it 2 times already.

Unfortunately doctors make mistakes to. You may want to call and ask your pharmacist to be sure sweetie.
