stretch marks

I'm not sure how far in a pregnancy you can get stretch marks, but what week do you get stretch marks when you're pregnant?

I wish they were hereditary, my Mum had 10 and not one stretch mark! I got them at 39 weeks with my last and I swear once he dropped, and during labor I got some because I was constantly checking and there were all these new ones after delivery ! ha ha, ah well, it's kind of nice, since I don't even bother this time around, what's done is done and its worth it :)

Pregnant woth my second. I had a few before pregnncy because i was bigger but i got tons more while pregnant really early on. Thats only because i started showing early and pretty much stopped stretching 6 months into my pregnancy. Sounds weird but i looked 9 months pregnant at 6 months with both babies. Lol. And with both pregnancies i only gained about 20 pounds. Bio-oil helps with stretch marks as well after the baby. I didnt use anything while pregnant and it changed the color.of mine to a much lighter shade so they werent as visible.

Usually once you start noticing them they continue to grow and show more! Everyone is different, but the cream and oil (noted above) does help your skin a lot! Its still going to stretch no matter what but by using lotion diligently, your skin will be more elastic-like, and may not burst out in terrible, even painful stretch marks...especially towards the end of pregnancy! Mine actually feel like holes underneath my skin...yucky!

I'm 25w 2d and so far I have none, I'm a ftm and I'm hoping I don't get any. My sister and mom have them, I heard they are hereditary. I use the Palmers cocoa butter stretch mark cream twice a day. I heard the oil is good also but I haven't tried it yet

Just started getting mine like two weeks ago and not too bad. And im 34+5 now. I always put lotion on, sense i was a tiny little thing lol so i guess that helped me out too. Because mine are small stretch marks. But i still put coco palmers oil.  Everyday, takes up alot of time but I'm sure i won't regret it later lol

I started getting them at around 20 weeks. Funny because I'm 35 weeks and have gained only 11 pounds. Bad luck I guess lol. I haven't got any new ones though,  so that's good. Cocoa butter helps.
