swimming?

Does anyone think swimming will actually help your water break? First time mom and 39+ 2 and want to give birth already ...just wondering if the swimming and walking help like people say ?

If weather permits, try again tomorrow! Like it was said above, it might not actually cause your water to break but you can still go into labor without your water breaking and that's actually how most labors go. The swimming just usually helps you dilate and relax you to where you can start contractions and start labor.

It can help you dilated, not necessarily help your water break though. I am 40 + 1 and have been walking and swimming like a crazy person the last few weeks and it has helped me dilate and get baby in the right position, but that is it for me. Only about 10% of women actually have their water break before they get to the hospital. Keep exercising! It is super good for you!

Swimming is super good at helping! It takes the weight of baby off of you and can cause you to dilate which will help start labor! If I had a suit, I'd be swimming now too! I'm at 39+1 and its perfect swimming weather by me! I say if you can, try it out! If it doesn't help with labor it'll help relax you that's for sure!
