My doctor said "it's your first baby. You will have stitches because you will tear. Next time maybe you won't."
My first I tore and had to get stitches he was 5lbs 8oz my 2nd I didn't tear at all and she was 7lbs 10.8oz so I'm hoping I don't tear this time either.
My first my doc had to cut got a couple of stitches the second time had a little tare that didnt require anything. Im on my 3rd pregnancy and hoping no cuts or tares this time
It depends on the person I tore serverly to the point I have to have c section BC my doc said if I tear like that again it could be very bad I tore from my cervix down my daughter was only 7.4 lbs my sis however is way smaller than me and had 2 kids and never tore don't stress it I heard you can get cut to prevent tearing but not really sure
I was told kegels and pereinel (sp?) massage help. I only wish they would have told me about these things before I was 37 weeks :/ me and my husband tried the massage and you get vitamin e oil and massage and stretch the skin between your vagina and butt. I didnt like it and haven't done it again cause im already so uncomfortable I just want to try to be as comfortable as possible these next two weeks. But kegels are easy to do.
I was cut and needed stitches. Kegels and there's a certain type of massage you can so down there to avoid tearing I forget what it's called though.
I didn't tear or get cut, so no stitches were needed last time. Hopefully its the same this time.
My doctor had to cut me a little. So i have three stiches. Im about to be three weeks pp.
Everytime is different i know my mom got stitches with me and my brother but with my sister she didnt, im 28weeks now and i think about birth more im scared a little hopefully i wont need stitches....
Not all women tear. I didn't tear.
I wouldn't have tore if they didn't have to turn my baby my midwife asked if I did keegels when I told her yes she was happy she said those help not to tear . I've heard sex helps you not to tear
There's no way for you to prevent this from happening some women tear but some don't. With my first baby I tore a little that I didn't need stitches thankfully but it all depends.
