When I first found out I was pregnant with my son. I waited 4 months until I told my mother. I was 19. She was so angry but I just sat with her at the table and explained to her that I had gotten pregnant instead of trying to weasle my way around it otherwise I probably would have never told her.
I just turned 30. I am the youngest in my family. Both of my siblings got pregnant before marriage and I know my mom really wanted me to get the ring before the baby. Plus its not like I am financially stable at all.
Maybe put the test & a Sono in a box & have ur parents open it then say SURpRISE
Oh and plus i waited a long time too so she was not happy cuz i hid so much things from her.
I thought so too lol. but how old are you? I had just turned 18 that's why she was mad at me and that's why i got that reaction. and plus she didn't even know i was dating or seeing anyone lol. but now she's good with the idea and happy :)
That's a pretty cute idea. The ultrasound. I get along with my mom and we are ok but I just don't want the negative reaction she will have at first. I have three family bdays coming up but none would work for telling them. Two are too soon and the other is too far away.
Any bday coming up soon. i know how you feel about your mother. i had the ultrasound and she just threw them back and started yelling at everybody! Just make sure you have someone to support you i had two of my siblings be with me and my sil
We told the family on christmas with our first and we let my sil wear a shirt that saidn auntie in training. My sil is special needs and really wanted to be involved so that's how we did it. With our second we just called the grandparents and it spread like wildfire! If you have an u/s pic you could frame it and gift wrap it. Or have a shirt on that says arriving _____! Which you could cover up until you sit down and talk with them before. Most parents end up understanding and then get super excited to become a grandparent. Good luck with spreading the wonderful news! Its such a blessing to be able to bring life into the world
