I am a very healthy 46 yr old woman. Low cholesterol, great blood pressure, nothing else of concern per my medical doctor at last check up. I see a nutritionist, take vitamins etc...was pregnant at 24, 29, terminated both at 6 wks. Pregnant at 40 yrs old, terminated with seaweed expansion at 14 wks. Pregnant again at 45 last May, miscarriage.
Doctor, please tell me any advice that pops into mind regarding my chances of conceiving, not miscarrying and delivering healthy baby...My nutritionist says down syndrome depends on health of mother...ive read articles where it indicates in women over 40 yrs old the chances drop to 1 in 4 babies or 25% chance of downs. I am wondering about other potential issues/health concerns since with my past.
Thank you so much
has anyone known of a woman who had a baby at 46yrs old and the baby had no "older mom" related abnormalities > My OGYN told me chances of downs is 25% or 1 in 4.
Hi!
typically brownish discharge is blood. It is not uncommon to have some spotting around the time of ovulation because of the hormone changes that are occurring at that time. If you were my patient, I would consider recommending a pregnancy test, depending upon whether your last period was normal or not. I would also consider checking for infection, again, depending on your history.
Hope this helps!
