first pregnancy!

I went for my 3 month scan and they could not hear a heartbeat! The scan showed a gestation sac of 6weeks and 3days. The sac has a yolk but no fetal complex! I have been called back for another scan in a weeks time, but cannot stop thinking about it! Its driving me up the wall.....I'm having a little spotting also which doesn't help the situation!!!! Has this happened to anyone else before???

Also just a nite im 28 wks at 27 wks i still spotted went in and all is great i dont have gd or pre eclampsia and my sont heart is great and i had so many scares so i noe how u feel but remember drs are only men they will make mistakes.

They should do a vagina ultrasound at 8 weeks thats what they did no heartbeat monitoring or anything like that i just saw my sons heart on the screen. But at three months hun u can feel.ur babys heart i press all over my stomach every day to.hear my sons heart first thing i do im plus sized so if i can feel his heart u should too. Im not talking about movement only his heart i felt him kick around 21-22 weeks. Also a measurement of six weeks sounds real bad its not even two months u should be past 12 weeks niw the heart is strong by that time. Don't worry about the bleeding i bled at 14 wks and 15 wks and bright red blood baby was fine. Something i will tell u thet bever checked me for a heartbeat until after 20 wks i always had ultrasound. i go to obe of the best hospitals in los Angeles  and everything they do they do not to stress me out because they are liable of my childs life. You getting stressed and crying is horrible wait till you know for sure because it will affect your baby and when u cry u push ur baby out especially so early that force doesn't help instead sing and talk to ur baby rub ur tummy. Ok stat strong momma

Thank you Nikki. Its a pinkish colour spotting but only like a tear drop after every three to four hours no idea what's causing it! I do hope and pray i have a little on relaxing inside me.....its all I want really x

What color is the spotting?? Right after i first found out i was pregnant i began to spot, but it was a dark muddy color and i was cramping as if i was on my period. So i freaked out and went to the er. The doctor ran some tests n said according to my hcg levels i might have been pregnant at some point but there was no possible way i was now. My hcg levels were too low, too low to even do an us. So he sent me home n told me to follow up with an obgyn a few days later n get my hcg levels checked again to make sure they were falling. So i went home crying and praying to god that the doctor was wrong some way. I went n got my levels checked a few days later n the obgyn said that my numbers rose my 10 times the amount prior. So i was still pregnant. Then i began bleeding again and this time it was red. I went back to the er they did an us and said they seen nothing just the sac. When i finally got to c my baby was a week later. Turned out they couldn't see anything bcuz i have a tilted uterus, they had to do an actual vaginal u/s. Finally i got to see baby vince, he looked like a tiny gummy bear with his little flickering heartbeat. Now i am 31 weeks pregnant. Prepare urself for the worst and pray for the best. I am praying for u.

Nope that's the problem I feel theya are being so careless! They haven't done any further tests or anything just did a US scan and decided there's nothing there! Surely they should do an internal one especially if it's 6weeks! I mean what are the chances that they haven't got their dates wrong?!

The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter , they said there's no baby but they will make sure again after a week , I went a week later and there she was !!!! I was so relieved after a whole week of crying and stress  every time i thought about it . She is now almost 3 and I'm 26 weeks pregnant again .
Good luck with u and I hope everything comes out good , but always remember even if they say there's no baby u can always try again !!!

That doesn't sound good if you are suppose to be 3 months and only measuring at 6 weeks are they testing your hcg levels too?

My bladder has been empty at all of my appointments and I've heard the heartbeat. It probably just has something to do with where/how the baby is laying

Thank you! I do hope so the wait is soooo long! See my bladder was empty which i suppose didn't help! Its very hard to be positive seen as the doctors gave of so much negativitity!

I had something similar this pregnancy...went for first us at what I thought was about 7 wks...when theybstarted they asked "do u still feel pregnant?" I said yes all symptoms still here....they saw a sac but it was completely empty!! I knew something not right...they sent me for lab work to test hcg over several days, numbers not doubling as they should...I was off and on crying all wk, waiting to go back following wk for another check up. They said ur numbers are increasing u must be. Next us, baby was totally there with a heart beat. Where he was hiding that prior wk I don't know...but I was 6 wks at the first one...shoukd have showed something. I am now 34/3....keep hope! There still is a possibility!!
