tmi and OT but genital piercings?

Question

does anyone have a genital piercing? i got a hood piercing (piercing through the skin covering your clit) for me and dh to enjoy and its supposed to be a simple fast healing piercing but mine hurts like S H I T when i move the ring. its only been 2 days so i was wondering if anyone on here has an experience with these or knows anything about how much and how long they're supposed to hurt for?

Mines been done for years like I said and doesn't bother me at all but I am even afraid of changing it (ring to barbell vie versa). I wouldn't change jewelry until healed it gets irritated easily when new not to mention hurts.

I have mine done a little curious on how its going to go over being pregnant, but once the pain goes away it goes away for good! Mine was sore only a little bit after the major pain of actual piercing and only hurt if I snagged it or something. Just try to protect it as much as possible once irritated it will stay that way for a while and seem like it doesn't want to heal. Have hope tho mines been done for years and never bothers me.

I've had my hood done for 7years now. To look at me I am completely conservative, nobody even knows it is there except for DH and the people that delivered my last baby. 

It took a couple of weeks to heal and it was quite sore before that. I used an antiseptic soap to wash until it was completely pain free. I have not lost any clitoral sensitivity. I do not have any more orgasms then before  but it certainly makes it a lot easier to get there. 

It even remained in place through my last pregnancy and delivery. 

PS Always have had a barbel and when it heals its quite novel to change the balls on the end. You can glow in dark ones and everything.

At least it is gettin better, Just make sure you wash the salt off after and dissolve it in BOILING hot water. Just to make sure its all dissolved.

eh idk ive had a tattoo.. the pain was different. the tattoo felt kind like your skin is being scraped or cut but the guy that did it for me kept stopping for a second so it was completely bearable.
i will say that the hood piercing hurt WAY less than i thought it would. its more scary than anything.. the second time i had to have it pierced though hurt pretty bad.
its mainly startling. you dont expect it and then bam they pierce you but by the time you have a minute to think about the pain its over.

thanks for all the comments!! i went and bought another ring last night ( a barbell this time ) cause i couldn't stand it anymore and i changed it myself (DH refuses to let me have a guy do it and the place i went with a female piercer was closed) and the piercing is already SO much better. i bought sea salt...and did a sea salt soak. i think its gonna end up being a good piercing :) i just have  to get a shorter barbell and it'll be good. but yeah im feeling tons better its hardly sore anymore .i think it was that dang ring she put in. it was wayy to heavy and i guess my hood is too exposed cause it got twisted and all that stuff. it was super irritated.

I waited till I was going away for a week...
Got to the steps of the bus and went LOOK MUM, lifted up my top and ran!
Came back 2 days later my mum got the shop closed down LOL. Her and my BF went down there.. FFS LOL!
But he wasnt my BF at the time... he was just madly in love with me... we are 6 yrs apart. But child hood friends grew up together. <3. Hehe.
and have been together for 3 yrs now LOL... :)

But I used TCP on all my other peircings, But Mouthwash for my tongue... My mum gave up when I showed her, But I got my tattoos in somenes kitchen....and you gotta be 18 LOL... Im 17. so we gotta shh about that one!

I used some spray sea salt i got at Hot Topic on my lip ring and it worked great healed up quicker then most.  I really miss my lip ring, it was so me. lol.. but i had to go to court and my DB made me take it out, to make a better impression on the judge.. but I guess its my fault, need to keep my butt outta trouble, which now that i have Cole Im great! lol.. I got pregnant the day I went to court for my 2 MIP. I think its funny! but anyway im rambleing.

I used proxyl on my tongue wich is like a safer peroxide. I got that done when I was 16. I did my nose 4 times, all 4 times I was 14. lol. it kept getting infected, well the first time my mom made me take it out, but i was a big rebel when i was younger lol, so i did it again. got infected, did it again, got infected. lol. the last time i did it i took care of it and it healed perfectly, and i had to take it out for a job.  My tongue is my only peircing ive got to keep.  ive had it for almost 5 years.  

And I got my first tattoo at 17.  and now at (almost) 21!! "yay" lol.. I have 5. im about to go get my 6th one for my 2 month old son.  

But anyway, they usually say up to 4-6 weeks for any piercing to heal.

I want my belly done, but I gotta wait for all the baby weight to go away! almost there. prolly the end of the summer

Im 17 and I got most of my Piercings done by the time I was 14. I blagged I was 16 and my friends done one :) AND i got a tattoo when I was 16.. ON MY RIBS 
here are the piercings I have:
My Tongue (14 years old)
both sides of my nose (14 years Old)
My Lips 3 times (Snake bites(One either side))  (By my friend at 14)
My Tragus (16)
One ear ( 8 times, by 15 yrs)
Other ear (7 times by 15)
The 2 above I done myself)
my Conch (By my friend at 15)
my belly, (When I was 13)


And 2 tattoos, that myy mum Still doest know about and I got them done last Sept HA!

But I took most of them out now, I only got my Tongue, ears and belly done now, but 3 in one ear (Including a tunnel) and 5 in my ear, and myy tragus (in my ear)
and my belly. 

But they take like 4 weeks to heal and yu SHOULDNT really clean them with Salt Water, because the salt gets stuck and gets them infected you should use Anti whats it called. like TCP! Lol...but if it takes longer than 4 weeks to heal go back to the Peircer. I want my Nipple Pierced. LOL....

Haha I feel the same way Blueeyed does. I have my tongue done, ive had my nose done 4 times and I had my lip done, and my ears. and I have 5 tattoos. but I could never get that done. It doesnt sound very comfortable. lol.. and I had enough problems getting used to letting my OB look at my Va jay jay. I couldnt let a complete stranger look down there or even touch me. lol

I just wanna say OUCH!!! I have had my ears, tongue and belly button peirced but I dont think I would EVER be brave enough to peice my nether reigons, lol! I knew a guy that peirced his stuff, I think it was called the prince charles?? IDK. Sounded painfull!! Was/ is the pain worse than a tatto???

It will take about 2 weeks to heal. The piercer should have given you a sheet of care instructions and information. If you ever have a question about it definitely call your piercer. They will be most knowledgeable in this area!

I've had my tongue pierced three times, four holes in each ear, belly button, eyebrow, etc. The only ones I ever wear now, though, are my ears and my nose.

I have a ton of tats (my whole back is covered as well as my stars on my hips and a tat on my pubic/vag area)... I was thinking about getting my clit pierced but I asked my tattoo artist about it and thankfully he told me that sometimes it can decrease sensitivity but I do have a friend that has her hood pierced (along with almost everything else) and she said it took about 2 weeks for it to stop hurting from just her undies rubbing on it. Good luck and I am sure with a couple weeks you will be as good as new!

I didn't lose feeling until 6 months after the initial piercing, so it does take some time if it's going to happen. Yeah the hoop will lay to the side, but the barbell will as well, I actually felt that the hoop was more comfortable as it wasn't so thick. I don't remember mine being so sore afterwards. I think I even had sex a day or so after getting it done. Are you using any bactine or washing stuff for it, antibacterial soap? A&D ointment?

my clit still has all the feeling as far as i can tell...ive double checked it a few times...its just the actual hood that is very sore. if can't even think about having normal sex right now it would hurt too bad. but my clit is fine.
im planning on getting a barbell put in at my week checkup. i dont like the look of the ring anyways. its awkward and big and its heavy when i walk (like hangs) and when i put underwear on it has to pretty much lay to the side. 
maybe thats why im so sore.

They pierced me with a hoop, and when I noticed it getting sensitive they took the hoop out and put the barbell in. That was 3 days after the initial piercing.

Forgot to mention, it took mine 3 weeks before it was totally healed, and your not supposed to have intercourse or any sexual encounters in that area for 4-6 weeks....that I was told by my doctor as I consulted him before getting the piercing. I have had a total of 13 piercings, but took them all out and i'm sticking with tattoo's for now lol....much prettier! And so far I have 8 of those ;)

I had mine done a few years ago. It made rough sex practically impossible, as it had ripped a few times....especially in certain positions. I eventually lost all feeling in my clit, and had absolutely no pleasure from sex because of it. I had my doctor look at it, and they did not get the clit itself which is what I thought had happened since I lost feeling there, but they did do it right.

I took the thing out after my doctor told me he didn't think I would regain any feeling there if I continued to leave it in. I took it out and about a year later I started having feeling again in the clit area. I still from time to time have issues, it really did kill the sensitivity for me, so I have to use clitoral stimulation cream, or keep the man going at it longer lmao!

im not gonna lie it didn't feel good. worst part was she didnt get the placement right the first time so i had to get it repierced in a different spot...twice within 24 hours is NOT fun. 

Brittny27: idk about nipples. im not that brave. i think that would hurt much worse than a hood piercing. oh my gosh can you imagine the people that get ACTUAL clit piercings?

....but i'm about to give birth for the 6th time..HAHAHA go figure :)

Any time you have a question about a new piercing you should call the piercer. 

I know a few people that have gotten a hood piercing and was told it hurt like he ll!! I'm sure that it will take up to 5 days to start healing and feeling better. 

I have my nipples pierced and I remember it took about a week for the pain to subside.
