Never had one before in my life until I got pregnant. At 6 weeks I got one and was put on antibiotics. It cleared up but about a week and a half later it came back with revenge and I had to be put on stronger antibiotics. I was so worried about the baby. But now I'm 28 weeks with a very healthy baby who is developing right on track. The doctor told me Its very normal to get a uti while pregnant because your systems are relaxing due to hormones and that allows bacteria to enter and grow. Just make sure you ask the doc that the antibiotics they put you on are safe for pregnancy. Your doc should know but I stressed that question and asked like 4 times before I left the office I didn't want to risk the health of my little one. Oh and cranberry juice is your friend, use it to take the antibiotics and once those are gone drink a glass a day for a week or so. Mine never came back after the second time.

I had a uti if it doesn't get treatment for antibiotics I ended in a miscarriage I was 6 weeks but the doctor thinks I had the infection before I was pregnant some people don't no that thay have uti it's best getting antibiotics to clear it up I'm not saying that the uti made my miscarriage happen but it can  take a big role in your pregnancy

I have one now... And have had one for a few months without knowing it!! It shouldn't effect the pregnancy, especially since you caught it early (hopefully). Just make sure you pee often and drink lots of water and take the medication:)

I had one around 11 weeks. I was so worried but my doctor said it doesn't harm the baby but it is very important that it be treated right away. From what I read it won't cause harm until it spreads to your kidneys but I'm no doctor.
